The Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels

The institute is considered the first among private higher institutes specializing in tourism and hotel studies, established by Ministerial Decree No. 1200 of 1990.

Specializations

It is also regarded as one of the earliest institutes to obtain equivalency for its bachelorโ€™s degree with those offered by Egyptian universities in the following three specializations:

  • Tourist Guidance
  • Tourism Studies
  • Hotel Studies

The Scientific Institution

The institute was founded by the esteemed Professor Dr. Souad Kafafi, as part of a group of educational institutions that have significantly enriched the educational landscape at the national level. Among the most prominent of these institutions are:

  • Misr University for Science and Technology โ€“ 6th of October City
  • The Higher Institute of Architectural Engineering and Technology of Business Administration โ€“ 6th of October City
