HITH Students Visit “Turathna” Heritage Exhibition – 7th Edition 2026
Under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ๐ช๐ฌ, and in collaboration with the United Nations Platform and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), the 7th edition of the “Turathna” Heritage and Handicrafts Exhibition was held in Egypt from October 4 to 11, 2025, with the participation of several Arab and foreign countries.
The exhibition was held under the theme:
“The Story of Our Ancestors… Crafted by Our Children – Moving Toward Global Recognition.”
With the kind support of Dr. Salwa El-Toukhy – Chairperson of the Board, and Prof. Dr. Hoda Sayed Latif – Dean of the Institute, a group of fourth-year students from the Tourism Studies Department at the Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels, 6th of October, visited the exhibition under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Walaa Mostafa El-Wardany and Ms. Salma Tarek.
The visit aimed to connect academic learning with real-world experience by exploring the importance of handicrafts and heritage tourism, emphasizing Egypt’s national identity as a key element of attraction and cultural pride within the tourism sector.
