The Library:
It serves as the primary information resource center for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff in the institute. Its mission is to support the curricula besides the comprehensive intellectual climate of research. The constantly expanding collection contains more than 2500 books and 500 paper periodicals, two encyclopedia collection one British and one American.

The library collection (books-teaching materials) are developed to support the hospitality & tourism curricula at all levels, the foreign languages at all levels, as well as shedding light on diverse cultures and backgrounds of different peoples worldwide.
The library contains computers, overhead projectors, video, television, and data show apparatuses. A dynamic bibliographic software program, inclusive the library’s contents, is providing orientation for all students and faculty.

A nearby dormitory opposite to the Institute’s campus for male and female students is available on two separate blocks.
Activities
The Orphan Day
The Orphan Day event is celebrated at (HTH) on the 1st of April by inviting orphans from neighboring in the 6th of October City. The program consists of a Muppet show, cartoon films, games, competitions, sports, and gift offerings from the Institute. Winners are given medallion prizes at the end of the year.
The student union encourages group activities such as camping, cultural activities, such as publishing magazines. The student Union organizes sports activities throughout the year, such as football, basketball, and table tennis games. The (HITH) students participate in the tournaments of universities held by the Ministry of Higher Education every year. The competitions are held on campuses on each educational institution or in playgrounds in national clubs.
A trophy and medallions, in the name of the lady founder Dr. Soad Kafafi, are usually distributed to the students winners in the Institute.
The “peace Boat’’ Visit to the (HITH)
The peace Boat is a big cruise that makes an offshore tour around the world and anchors two times in Egypt. The journey originates in Tokyo harbor and takes a hundred days. The travelers enjoy entertainment and are acquainted with other people of different nationalities and gain experience. They are a mixture of Japanese, Europeans, Indians, and Arabs who call for real peace among nations.
The (HITH) receives the “Peace Boat” travelers who meet with the students and the staff on lunch gatherings. Afterwards the students organize and accompany the travelers on sightseeing tours to monumental sites in Cairo.
